Greetings to all our dear friends and generous supporters!
It’s the start of a new year and we at MOI are excited for all that’s ahead. It’s been a difficult time with many changes and a great many challenges over the past couple of years. While the work that we do in the community is always fulfilling, the terrain during these interesting times has been difficult to navigate for a small nonprofit. We have so much to be grateful for.
MOI’s outstanding Board of Directors have given their time and talent to ensure that our programs are effective and that our organization is well-governed and positioned for growth. I’m ever grateful for the support I’ve received in my role as Executive Director.
I’m thankful for our wonderful teaching staff for their individual voices and skill in communicating the Dharma. Their collective wisdom has helped MOI grow in all manner of community outreach, from simply greeting visitors during our weekly offerings, to the important work with our Douglas County Department of Corrections mindfulness program.
My heart is filled with deep appreciation for the many individuals and business supporters that provide financial contributions to help us reach new audiences. Considering the challenges faced, without these wise benefactors, I might be writing an internally different message.
And I’m thankful for you. Whether you made a donation, volunteered your time or talent, attended an offering, shared a social media post, or simply cheered for MOI from the sidelines, you are an important part of our work, and our plans for the future.
Wishing you a prosperous and happy 2022 with deep insights, enriching relationships, and courageous purpose.
Happy New Year!
